As a stakeholder directly impacted by the development of the ridgelines above the site, North Coast is aware of the negative impacts of local ridgeline construction and is committed to honoring the Strawberry Community Plan. Through their proposal to reduce the stretch of Chapel Drive to a fire access road and creating an uninterrupted stretch of park and open space, North Coast will permanently preserve this last stretch of open ridgeline.

Other prominent elevated spaces, such as the Forested Knoll, remain protected open spaces in the new redevelopment plan. Furthermore, North Coast’s commitment to minimizing the visual impact of the project can be seen in the design of the residential units themselves, with structures built into existing slopes rather than atop them.
